Contollo is a progressive building consultancy group set up to bring together built environment sector experts. The demand for energy efficiency, carbon reduction and sustainability within the built environment sector is growing rapidly amongst a fragmented marketplace. The Contollo founders are on a journey to form a new mid-sized consultancy that works with commercial developers to offer building consultancy (MEP and Cost Management) with a particular expertise in smart buildings.
Following the acquisitions of Abacus Cost Management, TACE Consultants and MBA Consulting Engineers, investment from NorthEdge Capital further supported Contollo’s buy-and-build strategy with the acquisition of Engineering Services Partnership (ESP), a Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering services company, operating out of four main offices in Croydon, Peterborough, Edinburgh and Manchester.
Langtons acted for Contollo Group providing deal advisory services, including negotiation of Heads of Terms, commercial and financial input into the SPA, and group financial modelling support in respect of the acquisition of ESP.
The purchase of ESP is part of a significant buy-and-build process and brings the Group’s headcount up to 160, with TACE Consultants and MBA Consulting Engineers acquired in October 2024, following on from the acquisition of Abacus Cost Management in February 2024.
