Direct Energy Purchasing Limited (DEP) is a leading energy consultancy business offering independent energy advice, bespoke energy management solutions, and corporate purchasing benefits to major energy users.
Since their inception in 1998, they have grown substantially, providing services to retail, healthcare, manufacturing and commercial customers, specialising in multi-site operations.
How Langtons Helped
Langtons acted as Lead Advisors for the shareholders of DEP for the disposal of their business. Our role included identifying and contacting suitable acquirers, assisting DEP in the presentation of information and negotiating the terms of the disposal.
We also provided support during the legal process and financial due diligence, as well as providing personal tax advice to the Vendors in relation to their disposal.
Results
Inspired plc, an AIM listed provider of energy purchasing and management, was identified as a potential acquirer.
The disposal was successful, with the acquisition allowing Inspired Energy to increase the breadth of their target customer base, bringing operational benefits.
